Every Action Makes a Difference in These Kids’ Lives
When a worker gets injured on the job, it doesn’t just affect them — it affects their
entire family, especially their kids.
That’s why 50 Kids’ Chance state organizations provide scholarships and support to the
kids of workers who have been injured on the job. They want to ensure these kids can
complete their education and go on to fulfilling and gainful careers.
Since 1988, Kids’ Chance state organizations have awarded over 10,000 scholarships
totaling over $36 million dollars.
But we know there are more kids in need of assistance.
Kids’ Chance Awareness Week was established to be a time when every member of the
Kids’ Chance community can support our mission, these families, and these kids. By
coming together one week each year, they concentrate their efforts, which boosts their
volume
This year, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is November 18-22, 2024. Join the national
movement for one day or for the whole week.
How You Can Get Involved
Here’s what you can do to support Kids’ Chance mission during Awareness Week:
- Make a donation to Kids’ Chance of America
- Make a donation to Kids’ Chance in your state
- Spread the word about Kids’ Chance on social media using #KidsChance and
#MoreMoneyforMoreKids - Refer eligible applicants through our Planning for the Future initiative
Together, we can reach more kids impacted by a parent’s workplace injury and help
them achieve their educational dreams.
Your support will help students like Brooke, a Kids’ Chance of North Carolina (KCNC)
scholarship recipient.
“I’m just so incredibly thankful for this community and grateful for everything that they’ve
done for me, and just all the love and support they’ve shown me,” Brooke shared. “It’s very
reassuring going through college, and when there’s struggles, [having] these people
behind me.”
